MillenniumDB: An Open-Source Graph Database System

Abstract In this systems paper, we present MillenniumDB: a novel graph database engine that is modular, persistent, and open source. MillenniumDB based on data model, which call domain graphs, provides simple abstraction upon variety of popular models can be supported, thus providing flexible management for diverse types knowledge graph. The itself founded combination tried tested techniques from relational management, state-of-the-art algorithms worst-case-optimal joins, as well graph-specific evaluating path queries. the main design principles underlying MillenniumDB, describing abstract model query semantics concrete syntax implemented, storage, indexing, planning evaluation used. We evaluate over real-world queries Wikidata graph, where find it outperforms other persistent engines (including both enterprise source alternatives) support similar features.
